What is Reiki?

KI stands for Life Force

Together REIKI’s basic meaning is ‘ Spiritual Consciousness of Life Force’

One could easily describe Reiki as a "spiritually guided life force energy" -  a smart energy that inevitably and necessarily flows to where the imbalances are in your body regardless of where the practitioner hands are positioned.

Noted Reiki Master William L. Rand explains:

"The source or cause of health comes from the Ki that flows through and around the individual rather than from the functional condition of the physical organs and tissues. It is Ki that animates the physical organs and tissues as it flows through them and therefore is responsible for creating a healthy condition. If the flow of Ki is disrupted, the physical organs and tissues will be adversely affected. Therefore, it is a disruption in the flow of Ki that is the main cause of illness."

‘Reiki empowers healing by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charges them with positive energy. This raises the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.

 
Reiki Healing Session

All healers use Life Force or Ki.  Not all use Reiki.  A Reiki practitioner needs to be attuned to Reiki ‘s special kind of Life Force to be able to use it.

I have consciously worked with and within energy fields  for over 30 years. I have been attuned to Reiki since 1998 and studied to become proficient at all levels before I became a Reiki Master.

Reiki is an ancient art of healing and profound tool for me.  As an energy healer I value Reiki as an alternative method of healing because it is non-invasive, the individual being healed takes an active part in the healing process, it effectively works in distance healing, and it can achieve superb results in combination with other healing modalities.

I have incorporated Reiki to accompany the work I do with Reflexology and Massage where I empower the client to release hereditary and karmic frequencies.  Reiki can be done with or without touch.  I use both.  When doing this I always invoke the Highest of the highest energies and call in Angels and Ascended Masters of the Light to work with my Guides and the Guides of the client to bring balance on all levels as needed.

I have also used Reiki for long distance or remote healing.  As a Reiki Master I am keenly aware of the energy of a distant person and am able to support the person in getting their energy flowing and help them remove obstructions and unwanted energies from their system.

I believe that Reiki can be revitalizing and help speed up recovery times for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues.
